WORSHIP DIRECTOR

The Worship Director is a full-time staff position and an important part of the leadership team. This full time role is entrusted with designing, delivering, and leading a worship program that reflects the mission, vision, and values of the church. With a visible and contagious love for Jesus, the Worship Director should have excellent relational and organizational strengths, musical training and liturgical experience.
The successful candidate should be cognizant of the Reformed tradition, familiar with liturgical elements of Reformed worship, and demonstrate the ability to align leadership teams and volunteers in simple but excellent expressions of worship, praise, and prayer.
DOQ Salary starting at $67,000/year
Worship Planning & Execution: Collaborate with pastoral staff to plan and lead weekend services and other worship environments incorporating various worship elements.
Volunteer Development: Recruit, develop, and lead volunteers to support worship goals.
Pastoral Care: Serve as a pastoral presence to both the congregation and the worship team.
Creative Oversight: Manage the programming and content for all services, including song selection, media creation, and other creative elements.
Program Management: Oversee the worship program, including budget and staff management.
Choir: Provide oversight and coordinated guidance to the Choir Director, incorporating the choir as an element of the worship program.
Spiritual Commitment: A deep love for Jesus and a desire to facilitate life-changing worship experiences.
Musical Excellence: Exceptional musician with the ability to lead congregational music confidently.
Liturgical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Reformed worship traditions and the ability to integrate contemporary elements.
Leadership & Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to lead teams and work collaboratively with staff and church leadership.
Creativity & Innovation: Ability to design and implement creative worship experiences that reflect theological depth and modern relevance.
Relational Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with a diverse congregation and team.
