God is at work in and through our growing together.
God is at work in and through our growing together. There are four major components of discipleship at SCPC. The Groundings Experience is the cornerstone for discipleship at SCPC. Adult classes and seminars and Bible studies help us grow in understanding our faith and SCPC LOFTs help us live out faith inside and outside the church.
It is not a class that you complete. It is an experience that will set you on a lifelong journey. Through prayer, a fresh look at the teachings of Jesus, and discussion, participants of Groundings put what they learn into practice at home, work, school, and play. In a prayerful and confidential group, Groundings people share their experience of following Jesus into the world for the sake of the world. The end goal is for each person who participates to notice God at work in and around them, and offer themselves to be a part of that work. We learn how to listen to another person’s story and to tell part of our own. Discipleship and evangelism come naturally together and engage people with the Good News of God’s love.
Groundings is open to men and women of all ages. For more information about Groundings in 2019 call Candie Blankman, (949) 492-6158 or email her at email@example.com

“A creative space, not partitioned, but open to accommodate life together.”
In 2019 we begin new groups at SCPC. These groups of people, called L.O.F.Ts, will Live Out Faith Together. By their innovative design and multiplication, LOFTs show hospitality to all those in need of faith-based community. They will gather to build relationships and support the SCPC mission to inspire each other to follow Christ whole-heartedly. Some LOFTs will meet weekly, some will meet every other week. Some will meet for a determined number of times while others will be continuous. Some LOFTs at SCPC are designed to live out faith together around age and stage of life. Other LOFTs are intentionally diverse and live faith together across age and stage of life. By design these groups are always open to others and, when necessary due to size, divide and create new spaces for living out our faith together—new LOFTs.
If you are interested in joining an SCPC LOFT, contact Tracy Knox at firstname.lastname@example.org or call her at (949) 357-8722.

The SCPC Care Team exists to express the grace, gratitude, and generosity of God’s love to members and friends in need, both inside and outside the church. Enlivened by worship and empowered by the Sprit, we seek to assist others in times of need and encourage all to use their time and talents to contribute to the quality of care we provide. The Care Team is supervised by staff and the elders and provides care through the following ten areas:
- Cancer Support
